Hello,

Welcome to the our first production release of our new free TV guide we are calling "UltimateGuide On TAP".   Although not as complete as we would like we feel this release does make a functional and useful guide. 

We have learned a great deal from this first attempt at a web server base application. This knowledge will be immediately be put towards developing our 2.0 version.

Production release 1.1:

• Fixed:  "RUNTIME ERROR Could not convert variant......" error has been fixed!
• New: We now have our own Certificate Code from Zap2it,  new uses should use this code and not the code for XMLTV

NOTE: Zap2it's Data Direct team has asked that users download listing during off peak hours if possible.  This is a free service so if we want it to continue this way please make a effort to download in periods other then 5 p.m. to 3 a.m. EST.

Installation Instructions

1. Uninstall previous version of UltimateGuide On TAP.
    
2. Download and install latest version of UltimateGuide On TAP package from Trimind Site.
    
3. Sign up for and configure Data Direct service on Zap2it Labs site.
   Use the following certificate code TCXO-TU3O-CBUT.
    
4. Configure listings from "Admin" menu
    
5. Finally execute listing load from Admin menu.

Support for this beta will be available through our new forums. (http://www.trimind.com/forum/default.asp).  If it a problem you see or an enhancement request is not in the forums we don't know about it and can fix it or implement it.

Usage Instructions

TAP is installed into the task tray and uses this icon and will automatically start when you log into Windows.  If you want to stop this you currently will need to manual delete the link from the Startup menu.

The best way and most reliable way to launch the guide is to right click on the TAP icon in the task tray and click on Launch menu item.

Default port for this first beta is port 88.   To launch the guide from the system it is located on use the following URL:

 http://localhost:88/apps/ugot/listings.htm

The guide can also be launched from your programs menu. If you change the port on this first few betas the programs menu will not be updated and you will have to type the address into your browser manually or launch from the TAP menu (see above).

The port can be changes from the TAP application window.  This can be displayed from the TAP menu or by double clicking on the icon in then task tray.  You must deactivate and then reactivate the server for the change to take effect.

UltimateGuide On TAP will launch "TitanTV" program XML for use with many PVR/TV cards and works with UltimateGuide Scheduler for ATI cards.

Production release of this guide is planned for early May.  This beta will expired on June 1st, 2004 but there will be up to 4 more test versions between this release and production so check back often.   Installation of at least the next few releases will require the uninstall of the current installed beta before upgrading.
